2 IMPACT NYC feeds the homeless in Brooklyn

On Thursday, November 22 2012, 45 volunteers from 2 IMPACT NYC, inc will open their hearts and a kitchen to serve Thanksgiving dinner to 300 people in need.  This is the third event for the non for profit founded by Joel & Thalia Perez.  The event will take place from 11am – 2pm at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic church in Brooklyn with plenty of activities and giveaways for children.  The church is located at 75 Lewis Ave. Brooklyn, NY.  This year many of the NY’ers coming to St. John’s for Thanksgiving dinner are victims of Hurricane Sandy.  They are getting bussed in from Staten Island.  And a number of the volunteers from the FDNY have been volunteering - helping Hurricane victims dig out and return to a sense of normalcy.  2 Impact NYC was founded in 2011 by Joel and Thalia after several years of volunteering together in various kitchens in New York City.  They feel there is a strong need to serve needy NY’ers fresh gourmet meals that they would serve at their own dinner table.
