Five of salsa’s top female dancers including Talia Castro-Pozo, Griselle Ponce, Eleanee Jimenez, Ana De Matos, and Desiree Godsell were photographed by world renowned photographer Brian Paumier at the 10th Anniversary of the New York International Salsa Congress and selected to be a part of a special issue for Latina magazine.  Although salsa dancing attracts all ethnicities and cultures, each of these dancers exemplifies the beauty and essence of the true Latina salsera.

“I am thrilled to represent Latina women in the world of Salsa,” says Talia Castro-Pozo.   “For me, as a professional dancer who started dancing ballet at the young age of 3, to be a true Salsera, is to bring all the elements of love for the music, dance, culture, technique and artistry to inspire and create harmony inside and outside of the dance floor. I want every individual to be touched by Salsa in some way. You will never be the same.”

Ricky Martin Blog - En La Escena

It was a great experience to witness the excitement of so many fans at Borders in Time Warner Center on November 3rd, 2010. The reason they were so elated was because they were so close to being face to face with the Puerto Rican Star "Ricky Martin". Jessica Medina covered the book signing of Ricky Martin's autobiography "ME" for En La Escena and got some interaction with the fans waiting on line for countless hours as well as the ones who got their autograph and picture with Ricky.

"I can't belive it" and "It was worth the wait" were just some of the thoughts expressed today by the fans. Some even purchased more than one book while others were in complete shock that they were so close to what many called their "Idol".

The autobiography "ME" is the release of many thoughts, feelings and secrets Ricky Martin was keeping inside for a very long time. This book is expected to be best seller in a matter of days.
Unfortunately, we didn't interview Ricky Martin because his undivided attention at this event was only for the most important people in his career, his fans which he loves so much.

Ricky Martin on the release of the book:

“From the moment I wrote the first phrase, I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this is something worth celebrating.”

Ricky Martin, first look to "Yo"

Although the official sale of "Yo", the autobiography of Ricky Martin, was scheduled to national and international level for the November 2, some Costco stores in the chain decided to move forward and from the afternoon of Friday, placed copies of the text in sections books.
First time bought a copy. The book consists of 292 pages, photos, divided into nine chapters, entitled: From boy to man, to meet the target, My time to shine, to regain control of my life, The Sound of Silence, The role of my life, Parenting , My time, Forward.
Martin dedicated the book to their children, twins and Matteo Valentino whom he describes as "My light, my approach, my strength, my little master, constantly at a glance I know say, 'Quiet, Daddy, everything's fine" .
In the second chapter of his memoirs, Ricky Martin confesses that during his stay in the musical group Menudo had their first sexual relations, as well with women than with men. The subject of his sexuality, his fear of facing it, with him and with others, and how paternity was the factor that prompted the decision to publicly acknowledge his homosexuality, are some of the many issues addressed in the Puerto Rican star in the book.
Here are some of the most important phrases in the text:"The times when I feel happiest is when I'm on stage, surrounded by my players and facing a huge audience, encouraged and excited by my music"I'm a singer because I like my music, I like to dance, but not like anyone else, I feel frustrated""Our relationship was much love, much attraction and when he was with her, I felt confident" about his relationship with Rebecca de Alba"I needed to fall in love with a woman, a man and live what I lived in each of my relationships to face the truth of what he was feeling""I am the artist I am by all the influences, experiences and aesthetic sensibilities that I have, and that has absolutely nothing to do with my sexuality""I'm not going to live a lie or not my children"
