Press Release: PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

ELE Productions, LLC

Brazil Carnival Ooah!

PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Press Release

ELE Productions LLC (aka En la Escena) a bilingual entertainment show on Latino Caribbean lifestyle, culture, and entertainment based out in New York, U.S.A. and Brazil Carnival Ooah! in association with Brazil Carnival Shop, a Brazilian Carnival cultural media & Online Costumes Shop, have agreed to partner as of 07/26/2011 to promote the legitimate Brazilian Carnival cultural festivities and expressions.

Joint operations will include promoting via video, texts and social media several aspects of the backstage of the Brazilian Carnival parades, shows, rehearsals and artists, to an international audience.   Production will focus in presenting the world´s largest party in English and Spanish, so as to popularize and familiarize the Latin based community in the United States, with the Brazilian Carnival culture.

Aside from broadcasting through inserts several of the preparatory phases of the Brazilian Carnival parade of 2012, which will happen from February 18th to 21st, video footage will include on-line streaming broadcasting also.

The Brazilian Carnival festivity in 2011 attracted 5 million tourists in Rio de Janeiro alone, and is becoming increasingly beloved and celebrated in many other cities in the world.  Today, large “Rio Style” Carnival parades are organized in Notting Hill & Liverpool (UK), Helsinki (Finland), Asakusa-Tokyo (Japan), Cologne & Frankfurt (Germany), Venice (Italy), Copenhagen (Denmark), Houston (USA), San Luis (Argentina) and in many other parts of the world.

One of the interesting aspects of the Brazilian Carnival culture is that its culture synthesizes many aspects of the world´s trend growth markets.  These dynamics and vibrant markets includes “health-fitness”, because of the samba dancing techniques, “fashion” for its unique artistic costume elements, “beauty & cosmetics”, irradiated by Carnival Queens and Passistas, and “accessories”, which are an in integral element of the Carnival expression.

Toys for Tots Blog

'Tis the Season For Giving!

Santa sure is lucky that he has so many helpers! It was an honor and pleasure to take part in the Toys for Tots drive held by Livents at the trendy Pranna Restaurant in midtown Manhattan on December 9, 2010. Boxes of toys were escorted out of the restaurant by US Marines who will help donate them to underprivileged families in the Hell's Kitchen area of Manhattan this Christmas. The event was coordinated with the Ruschenberg Foundation who work year round to give back to the local communities. Good do-ers were in abundance as the restaurant filled to capacity for this worthy cause. For a chilly and cold night, there was a lot of warmth in the air! "The Ministers" World Premiere...

By: Ameena Dove

I was invited by my producer Toni Austin to cover the movie premiere of “The Ministers”. I didn't know what to expect but when I got to the Lincoln Center Theater the place was crawling with celebrities such as John Leguizamo, Franc Reyes, Florencia Lozano, Wanda De Jesus, Manny Perez, Harvey Keitel and many more. It was great to see everyone smiling and so proud of their work. It's rare to see a predominantly Latino movie cast, so you know En La Escena had to capture the moment. They were all so happy to speak to us and gave great feedback on their involvement with the film.

Then came the moment... curtains! We all rushed and were anxious to get seats to watch this movie everyone was so excited to see. Luckily, I ran into a good friend by the name of Edwin Pagan (a Latino horror film maker) and we snagged some seats (2 seats for 3 people and guess who had to sit in the middle... yea, yours truly.) Seats were slim pickins' because this place was packed, so you know my pain (lol).

I support the director's vision and am very proud of his accomplishment. The plot was twisted but wasn't confusing. John Leguizamo, played twin brothers and I thought he did a great job. Captain Diaz (Wanda De Jesus) was one of my favorite characters as well as the gangster Carlos Rojas (Luis Antonio Ramos). There's a little bit of everything in the flick: action, romance, betrayal, scandal, comedy, drama and of course... religion. Definitely check it out, it's worth it and give me your opinions. Until next time mi gente!

See you on the red carpet ;-)
